Default It's coming in tomorrow I think...

i spoke with my salesman over the weekend, and my RX450h is suppose to arrive at the dealer tomorrow (july 29). he will give me a call to confirm; the absolute earliest i can pick up my car would be next monday (they need time to prep the car). can't wait!

Congrats, Stormforge! Make sure you book your clear bra installation now!!! Do 24" hood, bumper, mirrors and fenders.

and a 20% tint up front would look great as well!

good luck!

ive been down at a dealer's garage once and saw a few RX's being "prepped". They usually take plastic coverings off, and do a final wax and other detailing stuff. They also do the default settings on the car system.

Unless they ship them differently to Canada, if it arrives tomorrow (Wednesday), you should be able to get it tomorrow night or Thursday latest. I got the 1st one here and they were supprised with the little bit they actually had to do. Mostly visual inspection, pull off the plastic body sheets, tire pressures and a few computer settings, rest was New Car Delivery stuff, cleaning etc.

Mine came off the truck 11AM and I was going through it in the Delivery bay at 3PM same day. They went by the manual for PDI & Prep and I watched most of it. Would have been quicker had I not been there asking questions; what's this gizmo??? what's this do ??? etc.

Take your phone so they can transfer all the contacts like they did on mine for you.

they have to feel the plastic wrap off the body panels and also in the interior. the seats and stuff are covered in plastic from the factory. They will also probably do a little test drive around the block to see if everything is operating correctly. Then they will usually wash the car and wax it.

I usually skip the dealer prep because Im really **** about paint and I dont want anybody scratching my car right from the start. Keep in mind most dealerships have a machine wash for your cars.

congrats! pictures please

ok, my salesman just gave me a call, and my 450h is ready for pickup on friday. slight delimma: i don't want them to drill holes into the front bumper for the front license plate holder. i assumed that if my car came in today, they would not have had a chance to drill holes yet. wrong! holes drilled and front lic plate holder mounted already!

now my wife doesn't care one bit about the license plate holder, and would prefer to get the car asap. but my salesman told me that another 450h (aurora white with package C - the same one i want) will come in at the end of august. if i wanted that one, he would make sure that no holes would be drilled.

do i take the one that's already here, or do i wait another month?

Wow
That's a tough one . Hmm, If you like the car otherwise, can you think of a 'personal' plate you could have made just for you to put there??? Everyone has a bit of Vanity more or less
