+1 pvo, I love the wood in my 04, it's one of the reasons I'm not going for the 3rd gen

Over polished wood trim always look fake, because fake plastic wood is over polished. The wood in the Infiniti's look better because they have a more matte finish to them with wood grain more enhanced.

As for steering wheel problems, that's been Lexus' issue for a long time now, starting with even the 3rd Gen LS. Steering wheel not matching the other trim pieces. All the hype that comes from the wood trim coming from the same tree... probably all junk that on paper makes it seem like "wow, same tree..." but in reality, the door could be from bottom of trunk ,while steering wheel from another section 30 feet up, so grain, color, and everything will be different.

You can bring it up with dealer, but nothing they can do, they're not going to swap out a panel or steering wheel hoping that they MIGHT match. If they don't match coming out of the factory, what are odds they'll match coming from a parts bin.

My issue with interior is where is the coin box? Does the totl model replace that "cup holder" on left side of steering wheel with a change holder?

Wife resorted to using the sliding tray in the center console for change - no better choice it seems

I'd get a small box or a pouch for the coins. Will be a problem (spilling coins all over) if I had to remove the tray to get to the center console.
