Default Paint Sealant

I want to put a paint sealant on my car. The dealer offered one for $900, but I know these are a rip off. I want something that lasts for at least a year. The car is brand new, so it has no swirls or anything else. I'm looking for a one step kind of application, and not wax.

Has anyone put anything like this on their new car?

When I did a search of the forums, most of the info was either a vendor trying to sell something, or people using multiple steps on older paint with swirls, etc.

Any ideas?

I heard of this from other forum, too. But I thought it can last more than an year. Dunno. Let me find if I can get CA's info.

be very careful as you can easily get swirl marks adding anything to your paint if they are not careful. I say leave it and when you wash it put the wax or clear coat spray on each time and you should be fine.

I've used Klasse sealant for quite some time. It works very well.

Recommendation is to do your polish with a machine polisher ala 7424 and then apply the Klasse sealant by hand. Let it stand overnight and dry and remove the next morning. Be forewarned, it is tough to get off but really works magic. It's good stuff.
