Default Oil Filter Location?

hi All.. This is my first post.

I'm picking up my 2010 RX350 this coming Tuesday. I've been reading about the oil specs, cost for an oil change etc..

In the past, I've changed the oil in my older SUV, which is quite easy since the oil filter is located at the front of the car. 1996 chevy Blazer.

Can someone tell me where the oil filter is located on the 2010 RX350 and is it easily accessible? Just wondering if i would be able to change the oil filter and oil myself. I welcome your thoughts. thanks

Mr. Claw asks: "Can someone tell me where the oil filter is located on the 2010 RX350 and is it easily accessible?"

Yes, someone can, and that person with the most accurate knowledge would be the service manager at the dealership. Ask him when you take delivery on Tuesday. At delivery, most dealerships introduce you to the service manager and show you around the service area.
(Few of us here have a '10 RX, and if so, I don't think any have changed the oil yet.)

On the other hand, were I to speculate, I would guess that, since the engine is the same 350 as in the previous RX350 cars, it would be in the same place. However, there may be different air blockers on the bottom of the '10 which could make accessibility different. Perhaps it is more easily accessible.

I would bet you will have to remove the plastic shrouding under the vehicle just to see the filter. Gone are the days where you can do it as easy as your 96 Blazer.

I hear what you're saying.. I'm being more curious then anxious of diving in to change the oil myself. Unless it's *real* easy.. I find out what I can and post here.. thanks.. picking it up in 3 hours from this post.

It's my impression that the oil filter is a cartridge, rather the typical screw on can like for my RX 330
