Default F Sport 8AT trans code

There's been a lot of confusion lately with the ongoing 8 speed lawsuits about what trans the RX's use. The information I've found says the 13-15 F Sport uses the 8 speed U880. Can anybody confirm this with a picture of their VIN plate in the drivers door jamb? Trans code is located on the bottom left corner. I'm not looking for a picture of the whole thing, please don't show the whole vin because this is the internet, just looking for the trans code. Thanks!

You can always contact Lexus of USA for a build sheet with you VIN or visit local dealership. This will eliminate guess work and wrong info.
There is a vin decoder under Tools thumb nail here in CL. Not sure if it will give you what you are looking for., but Lexus <your country> will.

Yes...

The article you linked says it was the U880, not the UA80.

I believe the Wiki to be wrong, hence why I asked to see VIN plates. You will note that the Wikipedia article directly states UA80 production did not begin until 2016. Wikipedia has also in the past incorrectly stated that the UA80 was used in the 2016-2022 RX, which I have seen enough evidence to know is untrue. The UA80F also has two entries in this Wikipedia article for some reason. And it seems like the article writer has no idea that E = 2WD and F = AWD, based on how application data is laid out. Not very trustworthy.

However I would consider Transmission Digest to be a reliable source as it is used by the transmission repair industry.

13-15 F-Sport had the early version of the Aisin transverse 8 speed, it was only available in AWD for the 13-15 F-Sport so there's only a U880F as far as I know. The 16-22 RX has the U881E (or F if AWD). Seems like we safe from the UA80 disasters in the Highlanders and Siennas. Those cars are also having trans cooler leak issues as well. Although it seems our 8 speed isn't quite as reliable as the U660 6 speed in older and non-F models, it seems to be fine for the most part. Mine has never given me issues with regular fluid changes despite the "lifetime fluid" nonsense.

Thank you, this is exactly what I thought was the case. Thank you again for the confirmation!
