2015 RX 350 base - Auto relock with timer not working
It seems that the doors are not auto-locked (after 30 secs). Any suggestions? Key fob works, door locking/unlocking works.
Edit: I thought this car has the walk away lock feature. That is when you shut off the engine, walk out, and close the driver's door. I thought it would lock the doors after "30 seconds" (that is what I setup). Is my understanding correct?
2nd edit- i found this post. This answers my question.
The "Auto relock" menu item that is referenced here does not to modify the timing of any Walk Away Locking feature. Lexi did not and do not offer that feature.
What this does do is if you Unlock the car from the fob and then do Not open any door, the car will automatically relock the car. If you do open a door then it does Not lock,
Seems to be for security if you accidentally or purposely unlock from your fob, it will relock.
Many threads on Club Lexus involved with somehow enabling Auto Walk Away Locking but it is not available.

Can you describe in detail what you expect it to be doing? Is this the function where if you unlock from the outside, but don't open any doors, the car relocks after a period of time? Or are you talking about it locking after you have shifted into drive and driven for a period of time?
My best guess is OP wants the doors to lock within a short time after driver door is closed.
For me the auto_lock engages when I shift out of Park and unlocks when I shift into Park. I have not tried to change it [although there is an increased risk ... there can be a situation where the doors should remain secure even when I shift into Park].
The answer OP is looking for [imho] is how does an owner set these options? Based on various build options the answer ranges from Owner customer customization on screen or ??? OR dealer customization.

I edited my original response.

All I can say is that my 2015 does not do that. My doors do not lock in 30 seconds or at all when I close the door and walk away.
