Posting here too. Hamilton's done a nice job taking a 12.3" Android screen from overseas and adding fit and finish to it, further customizing it beyond the defaults. As an owner of one of the overseas models, it's great; the Hamilton Motors additions and customizations would be worth it.

Can the kit handle Non-Nav RX?
Can the kit handle RX with Reverse camera view in rear-view mirror?
What is the standby current draw?
Does the unit go into sleep after some time?
If it does go into sleep, how quickly does it wake up?
Is the display switching between reverse camera view and play-screen instantaneous and guaranteed or flaky/not-guaranteed?
Are all or some of the nav-screen displayed items overlayed on the play_screen? Do they show up only when they are changed [temperature, volume etc]
Do you have contracted installers in various cities?
Thanks for creating this post here. I'm considering this unit for my 2015 RX350 with NAV and mouse, especially since my preferred installer, Houston Car Stereo, appears on your list on your website. I watched your video on this product, but didn't see anything about the backup camera, climate controls, steering controls, or which speakers and microphone are used when interacting with the product. Can you provide some details on this?
I ordered a conversion kit last night for my new-to-me 2019 Rx 450hl. The videos posted on YouTube do a great job showing the installation process. The overview video could show more details I think. I like you can easily switch be the Hamilton display and the factory display, if wanted. I hope to get it installed this weekend and can give some feedback. Really looking forward to this update.
Bryteliis if you have a 2019 you are in the wrong forum as you have a 4th gen RX. This kit is advertised for the 3rd gen RX. They posted about the kit for the 4th gen RX in that forum.

Hi Jeff! Thank you so much for reaching out. We are pleased to see that you are considering our products. Here is some information that we believe will help you choose us to upgrade your current system. We provide a Hamilton Conversion Kit (a complete screen replacement) that fully integrates with your current system. Your backup camera, steering wheel controls, and all factory systems will continue to work. Your audio quality will be unchanged.
Your factory climate control buttons will still work and will pop up on the screen when you make adjustments. For the 12-15 RX version it is both touchscreen and compatible with your factory mouse. Long holding the menu button for 3-seconds will switch between the new Hamilton screen and your factory interface which is still available at anytime.
Many customers have been pleased with the upgraded functionality and our tech team is here to help. Call us Monday-Saturday at 919-858-2890 and we are happy to chat more with you.

1.) Does the backup camera come through the new interface/display by default, or do I need to switch back to factory mode with the long MENU button press to see the backup camera before I shift into Reverse? If it does, does it provide the guiding lines, unlike the rotten factory display if you live in the US (other countries got the display lines on this vehicle).
2.) Does this solution support WIRED CarPlay through the factory USB port in the center console or through a new USB connection?
3.) For Bluetooth phone calls via CarPlay, does it use the factory speakers for audio, or does it use a new speaker provided by you?
4.) I believe it uses a new microphone. Do you know if it's better audio quality than the horrible one included with the vehicle? Or at least is no worse?

1) The screen will automatically display the reverse camera by default. The display will update the view with guiding lines.
2) It supports wired CarPlay through the new USB connector provided as well as the factory USB connector. The new USB connector can be routed a few different ways, including through the glovebox, dash, or center console. This is all dependent on your preference. Make sure to specify with your installer.
3) When using CarPlay for calls, your factory speakers will be used for audio. You will not have to install any additional speakers. The unit is designed to be a seamless upgrade with your factory components and functions.
4) The new mic is of great quality. All components from Hamilton Motor Company are top of the line and offer excellent functionality. You will not be disappointed.
Thanks again for reaching out, Jeff. Please let us know if you have any more questions. We hope to receive your order soon!

Hey Salim, thanks for the feedback! Please find the following information below:
1) Yes, the kit is fully compatible with both navigation and non-nav RX models. The product works independently from your factory navigation; it is a full screen replacement that works with all factory functions.
2) The kit can handle the car's factory reverse displays. It does not interfere with that function at all and will toggle back and forth between systems as you set your car into reverse.
You will be able to use the reverse function on both your factory and Hamilton displays.
3) The standby current draw is very low, usually less than 0.03 amps (30 milliamps).
4) The unit will go to sleep or be turned off when the car is turned off to preserve battery power. The wake-up time is immediate—the system will start up as you start your vehicle. It will stay in sleep mode for a couple of minutes after turning off the vehicle. We may be able to expand this functionality in the future for longer sleep times.
5) If your RX has the center console reverse camera, shifting to reverse will immediately bring the camera up, and when you go back to Park or Drive, it returns to CarPlay if you were most recently using CarPlay. This is guaranteed.
6) Yes, key factory overlays will pop up if desired or when settings are adjusted. They pop up temporarily on your CarPlay interface.
7) Hamilton Motor Company is actively expanding its installer network around the U.S. We already have many existing installers, which you can find on our website hamiltonmotorcompany.com, under “Find an Installer”.
-Can I be listening to the radio (as well as switch between radio stations) and also have google maps up on screen? I would be an android auto user
-If I'm on the android auto screens, and adjust the temp or fan speed, will that still appear on the screen once one of those buttons is pressed?
-is the mic built into the screen? or is it a separate mic that would be plugged into the unit and then mounted somewhere? (or does it just continue using the factory mic?)

You are 100% able to toggle between radio stations using your factory buttons when you have maps open.
Climate Control Overlays:
Yes, a Hamilton climate control info panel will appear temporarily on your screen when on the Android Auto interface.
Microphone Setup:
All of our Lexus screens use your factory mic except the 09-15 RX and the 12-14 ES. Unfortunately, the OEM mics on these are too old so we supply an external premium mic to use. The quality for these gets great feedback.
