Default Creaking/ clicking noises 2010 rx450h

After taking my car to the “professionals” to diagnose the clicking/ creaking noises, I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem. My 2010 rx450h makes a loud popping/ clicking/ creaking noise when I accelerate, brake, and turn. One mechanic said it was the CV axel shaft, and another said there was nothing wrong with the car. Replacement of the shafts are incredibly pricey, so I want to make sure that’s the problem. I attached a video with the sound if anyone who has experienced similar could take a listen?

Sounds similar to worn CV joints that I have heard on other cars, especially if it's particularly noticeable during turns. Acceleration / deceleration should not cause it though.

the CV joint clicks are rotation based and it is more pronounced when the steering wheel is turned all the way [we are talking slow speed turn]. The noise is due to play in the joint.

There are plenty of after market shafts. I am not a fan of any aftermarket shaft, but based on milage and future ownership life you can decide. If you are putting that many miles, might as well fork the extra dough. Order them from on-line Lexus retailers.

Keep in mind the sound can have multiple sources, so a proper diagnosis is the key. Play in the shaft is pretty easy to diagnose/confirm. Since you have 2 different diagnosis, might as well get a third.

Also check if there is rip in the boot. If yes, you don't need a third opinion. Look for grease slung pattern.

Thanks for your reply, after looking at the forums i discovered it could be:
1. Axle nut not torqued down enough
2. Regrease Axle shafts
3. exhaust gasket after the Y pipe
4. brake caliper pins

I'm going to take a stab at the all of these as parts its probably under $50.00 total for all . =D
