Please explain further what you need and are trying to diagnose. It helps to explain your terms further as I had to look up OBD fusion to learn it is a diagnosis app but am still unclear on PID. An internet search indicates it means -
PID control (pronounced P-eye-Dee) stands for Proportional-Integral-Derivative, and is a mathematical method for controlling any parameter such as temperature, speed, or pressure. It uses three mathematical parameters to determine the variable amount of input to be applied to a system to achieve the desired output.
What is wrong with your transmission? How many miles are on the RX? Has the transmission fluid ever been changed?
These transmissions are noted for failing at over 90,000 miles if running on the original fluid.
I am changing the ATF and was under the impression the ATF needs to be at a specific temperature when changing to make sure the fluid level is correct.
I have an OBD2 dongle and OBD Fusion app. The app doesn’t list trans temp so I need to get the trans temp PID and equation to add a custom PID to OBD Fusion so that I can read trans temp.
My car has 165K on it. All service has been performed at the dealer by the previous owner. I purchased the car at 155K miles. Based on the service records, it’s due for new ATF. I service my vehicles, which is why I need the PID.
See this excellent video from the Toyota Master Tech who is known as the Car Care Nut on YouTube. It will help you figure out how to perform this task. It is not as complicated as you are making it. the U660E automatic transmission has been used on millions of Toyota and Lexus vehicles since 2009.
FYI many of us just do a simple cold drain and fill after measuring the amount drained and do not bother with the temperature overflow stuff. Do 3 or 4 of those and most of the fluid has been changed. The key is the drained fluid and the added fluid have to be the same temperature, so I do it after the vehicle has been off overnight. This is covered in detail in the thread link below.

Well, to be honest I would measure the proper amount when the transmission is at the proper temperature range. My used 2015 Lexus RX350 had a previous fluid drain and fill before I purchased it(drain bolt area was clean) and it was overfilled by the last person who performed the service. I had about 3 quarts of transmission fluid drain out the pan before I even remove the red level straw for about 6 quarts total. Generally only about 1 1/2 quart should have drained out with the straw installed and about 3 quarts total with the red level straw removed. This is when the fluid is cold.
Therefore, I would recommend properly measuring the fluid level at the recommended temperature on a used RX350 that was(or may have been) serviced before you purchased it since the fluid level could be incorrect.

Thanks in advance!
Personally I would just buy a scan tool that included the transmission temperature feature already. Many affordable units include OBD data like that.
I have that tool it does not read the transmission temperature. I had to buy the scanguage 2.
Really. Man I guess it is still hard to find a scan tool to read such a basic function without paying too much. I do have an simple Autel scan tool that can read it as well as a Xtool D8 BT. I assume that the cheaper scan tool on Amazon was like my older Autel AL519 or even better Autel MD802.
well just buy an Autel AL519 for about $10 more than the Ancel.

Are you certain that the Ancel AD410 do not read the transmission temp. It seem to be able to read many freeze frame data points like coolant temperatures and such.
New to the forum, but hopefully it will help. Using Torque app with this PID on my 2013 RX-F.
2182 is the PID, this is for the oil pan temp sender. Haven't played with the RX enough yet to see if the torque converter also has a temp sender like my Tundra does. Also have obdFusion, but didn't get the Lexus package. (Have it for the Tundra) but at least it's a start.
((((A*256)+B)*(84/1000))-480)/12
This was all the info I needed to get Torque to read the pan temp

Thanks for the info! I was just searching for this. Wondering if you figured out what the torque converter values are? I also have the Torque app, and want to be able to read the ATF temps. I was able to do this with my Tacoma, so it's nice info to have.
I just added the ATF temp to Torque Pro as well. I did it via a csv file. So much easier. No worries about inputting the wrong values. I attached the file here. Just drop this file in your phone somewhere and import in the Torque app.
