I just ordered a "10.25inch Car Multimedia Video Player CarPlay Android 12 8+128G For Lexus RX RX270 RX350 RX450H 2009-2015" yesterday for my 2015 RX350 from the DMD Store on AliExpress for $485. They messaged me today through the web site asking for some info and a couple of pics of the current home screen and the mouse type controller. I think it's the B2 model but they will confirm this with the pictures I sent. It is supposed to be delivered by April 19th. I've read about others on this forum doing a similar install and also watched a few YouTube videos covering this type of head unit replacement. I am going to try to install it myself. If there is any interest I'll keep this thread updated.
I've read a lot about spoofed specs on these android head units so I asked them to verify android 12 and the hardware specs. They confirmed everything is as advertised. I'll be checking with one of the android apps like aida64 before I button up the dash and returning it if it doesn't check out 100%.
It's good that they are confirming exactly what your car has in terms of nav vs not else you'd be running into issues for sure. There is a very good chance that this unit has android 10, if it's FYT then it's 100% Android 10, it's not a huge deal, but a bit shady that it's spoofed.

Curious to see how the install goes and sets up.
I'm not sure what I'll do if the specs don't check out. The GROM Audio gets mixed reviews but I might give them a go if I end up returning this one.

I plan to document the install process but I'm not sure how much. I tend to start out strong and then get caught up in the process and forget to take pics. I'll try to be disciplined and shoot step-by-step.
I’m getting conflicting information from AliExpress, FedEx and UPS. AliExpress and UPS say it hasn’t left China yet. FedEx says it’ll be delivered on Monday.
A guy I work with says this is pretty common with multiple shippers for international purchases.

I wouldn't worry about that just yet and yes that guy is right. I've ordered a few things off AliExpress and usually the tracking is a bit odd. If there are any issues AliExpress is pretty good and will refund you if issues do arise.
Looking forward to your thoughts on this unit once installed.
Turns out the FedEx number they gave me was for the wrong package. It got delivered to a business in California today. The UPS tracking number is the correct one and it hasn't left China yet. I called UPS today and they expect to deliver it by the end of this week or early next week. Tomorrow will be two weeks since the order was placed.
Just to be clear, I'm not complaining. This is only to document my experience in case it is helpful to anyone else who decides to go this route.
Two weeks and one day after the order was placed UPS delivered it. The outer box looked in good condition and the inner box showed no signs of damage. I photographed the unboxing and the contents to begin the documentation process. My first negative observation is the label on the box and the head unit, as you can see in the pictures show it's for the 2012 - 2014 RX. Mine is a 2015 but I am unaware of any difference between the 2014 and the 2015 so I'm not concerned too much. Missing is any documentation or instructions. I'm sure I can find help online. Works in a 2015? Packaged well. Face of the unit. Overall shape of the unit. Connections on the back. Bracket GPS antenna. 4G antenna. Microphone. USB-A Video? One end of the main wiring harness. Other end of the wiring harness.
Detailed! You may find it difficult to obtain any instructions unless someone has created a guide. While at first when I did my install it felt a bit daunting with all the plugs, most of them it is pretty obvious what plugs into what based on the size of the connector. There are a few good youtube tutorials how to remove your current FM/CD head unit and NAV screen.
I'm curious about the after sales support with this unit, will they answer questions or pretty much cut you off ?

Happy tinkering
You were right about the YouTube videos. My install went pretty much like they showed. I had a few questions for support and it turned out to be almost non existent. They sent me a very basic guide in Chinese and told me they would get me in touch with an engineer which never happened. The issues I had were the sound quality using the provided mic and the one on the head unit was bad. Everyone I called said there was a bad echo. I read about people getting the pin outs and splicing wires to get the factory mic working but I didn't get to that yet. Another issue was when switching from the Android OS to the factory screen the audio player would pause. Pressing play got it going again and switching back to Android there was no such issue. There was also an issue with the HVAC controls where it would not accurately display or control the fan speed. This probably could have been solved as well but I didn't get to that. The backup camera worked well and was nearly instant. If I disabled the camera in the settings it would show moving guidelines over a blank screen. I was trying to figure out how to get the two screens to overlay since the factory camera didn't have this feature but I didn't get to that one either.
The reason I didn't complete the installation and troubleshooting is because a little more than a week ago I was in an accident on the highway with another car and a car hauler truck. My RX 350 was a total loss and I'm back to driving my previous car that I was in the process of selling.
If anyone has any questions on the Android head unit I'll be happy to try to answer them otherwise this will be my last update. This is all quite depressing.
Sorry for your loss. Very interesting post and was looking forward to a good update. I have some questions about your head unit. I also have a 2015. Did your RX have Navigation or no? Did you buy the Navigation unit or the one with No Navigation? Did you test it, were the specifications correctly advertised? What pictures did you need to send?

Damn sorry to hear, I'll wait till someone else takes the dive first before actually nabbing one. Sounds like there's still some bugs to sort.
