I’m gonna try to make this as least confusing as possible so bare with me. Lexus rx350 transmission jerking at around 20 mph. Took to a shop then say there is no mechanic issues with the transmission everything’s fine…. They’re pretty dumbfounded but say it could be electrical/computer issue but they can’t diagnose it…. I’ve tried to Google but I’m not really finding anything that makes sense. Anyone know what could be causing this?
Assuming there is indeed no mechanical issues, to me some next non-invasive steps would be a fluid change and/or disconnect battery for a while to see if transmission electronics reset (I'm assuming 3rd gen has some learning capability, as mine is a hybrid CVT and works differently).
Try the power cycle reset as stated by Droid and if things do not get fixed, I would take the RX to another mechanic or to Lexus for diagnosis for a fee.
I have the same issue (the car has 240 km, Canada) a small kick at 20km/h and some grinding noise at like 40 km/h. I was told and advised to leave it alone since they couldn't find any issue!
Got the tranny oil partially changed though but the issue is till there.

My 2015 transmission does a similar "jerk" around 20 mph if I lightly press the gas pedal from a stop. I believe it is the torque converter engaging since Toyota torque converters lock-up around 20 mph for some reason. Changing the old transmission fluid seems to have lessen the "jerk", but it is still there. Hopefully, the jerk will go away with another transmission fluid drain and fill when more of the old transmission fluid is replaced.
