Hello, the driver door on my 09 RX350 makes two clicking noises when open and closing. The door is not touching the fender. The other hinges do not seem loose in any way.I think I narrowed it down to this black piece (not sure of the correct part name). I can feel the black piece move up and down at the point of the clicks when opening and closing the door, not sure if this is normal. Before I take the panel off, I thought I'd ask if anyone else experienced this issue. Does this piece some how attach on the inside of the door panel as well? Does this piece fail and is it easy to replace?

Thank You,
It's called a "Door Check" by Lexus/Toyota and like the name, it keeps the door from opening too far, and also to help Keep the door Open.
It's Not that Hard to Replace, although it can be difficult to Access all of the Components.
Hopefully, You can Secure what's loose.
I think the part is over $100 from Lexus, You maybe able to find one at an Auto Parts Store or Ebay, etc.
