HI guys, Im about to buy a 2006 rx330 with 43k miles on it . It appears to be pretty mint and comes with a two owner car fax that I haven't seen yet. As i drove it today the one thing that stood out to me was the airbag on the passenger side. It appears to have a cut out for the airbag similar to the older models? My wifes 05 rx has a dash cover and there is no airbag visible ? what does this mean? it as the tan interior with a saddle brownish dash? looked at many pics on the net and cant find a pic of one with the airbag cut out ? thanks

The airbag cutout usually means the original dash had cracks and was probably replaced with a cover by previous owner. See YouTube video below.

Just my opinion but I don't think it is worth the money from a resale point of view when you add up the cost and labor to replace the dash vs doing a tastefull dash cover like you have.
I wouldn't let it get ya down that it has a cover cuz it covers up the cracks and looks ok.
If ever in the future you like to replace the dash with a new unit, I'd wait until "if and when" you ever have to remove the dash anyway- such as replacing the evaporator core or heater core.
Well I bought it for 10450 but in a very rookie mistake just found out its a front wheel drive model not all wheel drive!!!! wont be a problem as its for my son and it will last him a long time but wow didnt even know they made two wheel drive rx's .... live and learn saw 43k and lost my mind ....
Don't worry about the AWD. Some front-wheel drive cars do very well in the snow.
It's not like these AWD RX's have some heavy duty 4 Wheel Drive action going on, anyway.
When I drive my AWD RX, it feels very much like a front-drive car, so that's how I think of it.
btw, there's still a lot of value in the RX you bought. Good deal for the price.
