Hi,
I'm trying to replace the lower running lights on my daughter's 2004 RX 330. It's the rear ones on the lower left and right corners. I can see the plug from underneath, but the opening is to small for my hands. I see a bolt also, but it's not in a convenient place to remove either. I was hoping someone would be able to tell me how to get to the plug to replace the bulb. Any help is appreciated!
There is a socket that twists counterclockwise to come out and clockwise to snap in. Mine were very seized and I had to use some small pliers to get it to rotate, penetrating oil / silicone would help too. I switched the bulbs to red 194 / T10 style LEDs.
It was easier for me to lie down under the car and get a hand in there, my hands are small though so that may have had something to do with it. Maybe get the daughter to have a crack at it
LOL, I've gotten my kids to help a few times with their smaller hands. If I can't get it with extended needle nose plyers, my daughter will be called into action. Thanks again!
