Hello. I recently purchased a 2007 RX 350 with 87K miles. Thought it was a good deal. Check engine light came on with a code for cylinder 1 coil misfire. I changed the coil and light came back on.

anyone had this issue before?

please advice!

 

Was the code P0301 or P0351? P0301 is usually the ignition coil, but P0351 covers more things, like bad connections, bad grounds, spark plugs, injectors, etc

Start by checking the wire harness at the ignition coil. Then swap cylinder 1 ignition coil with cylinder 2 or 3 and see what happens. Let us know.
