Default Remove Under Seat Vent to Remove Object

Hello! Something has rolled into my under seat vent on the passenger side and it is driving me crazy every time I turn a corner or go up or down steep hills. I suspect that it is a chapstick, but it sounds like a golf ball! I have tried sucking it out with the shop-vac, reaching my hand in there, prying into it with a spring-grabber to no avail. I'd like to figure out if I can remove the vent by somehow pulling it out from the back seat (as shown) without having to remove the seats. My Lexus dealership quoted $300 which I turned down, but I don't think I can do it myself. Please help! See attached picture for clarification on the exact vent in question.

It seems so loose - can't I just somehow pull it out to retrieve the rattling object?

Get dowel or stick and wrap duct tape around it sticky side out (except the last piece to hold onto the stick). Use it to grab the item

Hi friend, Thank you for making me laugh.

Sometimes stuff jingles in my glovebox or the plastic tray by the gear shifter and drives me crazy.
When I'm on my last nerve I'll pull over to see what my wife put in there making such a racket.

PS- another favorite is forgetting a 2 liter bottle of soda in the trunk, makes a good thunking sound when stopping and going. haha

This is a pretty simple to do idea. Removing the seat isn't that hard, but rolling back the carpet to remove the duct is.
