LOL that would be awesome. If you can find anyone who's done it in a Camry, it would prob fit in the RX too. By all means if you do this please post updates!!!

How would you mate a transmission to a sideways 350 V8 jammed in that small space?
Or make the RX a rear wheel drive?
Insanity.

Just buy an old Chevy.

Aww come on man,,, There's an extra 1/2" inch extra room between the engine and the frame, plenty of space... haha
Whenever I think something can't be done someone finds a way- it would be the perfect "sleeper car" for pink slip racing if they can drop a blower and some nitrous undetected in it too.
But it is a heavy car...

How about an LS4 from an Impala? Not overly heavy, powerful, torquey and best of yet? It was designed for transverse FWD-based applications like what we get in our RXs.

Engine worth more than the car, don't know how they made it fit but you may be on to something...

Hi randyin402, I saw your other thread about your currently overheated engine and how it won't start.

You never followed up on that thread or let us know what was done so I'm guessing you gave up on the old engine.

Wishing you success on your new adventure.
