Default Rear lift latch problem,

Like most 2009 models I had to replace the rubber switch cover on my RX 350. All went well kinda of. Lift works fine with button in car and with fob. When I activate the lift with the button at the lift, lift will unlock, but not open up up.
Thoughts??

the rubber button only unlocks the door, you have to manually lift it.

Really? My wife swears it use to unlock and power the hatch up. It’s been a while since it really worked.

it allows you to manually half open the door if you are parked under a low roof

Default Power Trunk

On my 2004 RX330, pushing this button for two seconds will sound 2 loud beeps and the trunk opens fully all by itself.
Once opened, pushing this button for two seconds sounds 2 loud beeps and it auto closes and latches.
