Default Violent Shaking / Vibration When Braking

Have a 2005 RX330 with 209k miles. 7k miles ago had all four rotors and all brake pads replaced with brand new PowerStop parts - so they're relatively new given their lifespan. Was braking fine with no issues for several thousand miles. Recently, I noticed a violent shaking / vibration (mostly in the steering column) when applying the brakes at any speed over 15mph. Same issue occurred with the rotors / pads replacement prior to these new ones, so not sure what the issue is.

Planning to take to my mechanic as soon as I'm able, but wanted to see if anyone else had this issue or know what might be causing it. Thank you!

Could be a warped rotor. Have you done any hard braking on the highway recently?

Not sure if I'm reading it right but if you had the same issue prior to the new PowerStop parts, I would look into alignment of the fronts. But at the same time, do not rule out warped rotors although your replacement was fairly recent.

Front rotors are warped, couple things to check if you paid to have them installed, first check the wheel torque with a torque wrench should be 103 ft lbs so 100-105 would be ok alot of shops just run lug nuts on with an impact gun and never set the torque, your style rotor is known as a hat rotor over torque/un-even torque on the hat can lead to brake vibration's not to mention damage to the wheel studs,if they are cross drilled which I assume they are make sure they have the rotors on right, there is a left side and a right side, now never been a fan of Powerstop products seem to work ok on lighter cars, have seen more then one set fail pretty quick on pickup trucks and larger suv's,A couple of better products are Talon rotors made by Hawk or the old stand by Brembo's

Upgrade to the gen3 setup......The pads/rotors are a wash, just need a pr of reman gen3 calipers......A great upgrade from the oem size of the gen2 setup.....One look at pads & calipers differences between the two will tell you......I went w/ the Bosch rotors & oex Wagner pads w/ a pr of reman calipers for a '12 Highlander, same as the '10-'15 gen3 rx......
