RX 350 2009 Ignition Coil E (#5) Is Bad
CORRECTION - Mechanic suggests changing all coils in B1 (1, 3, 5), with #5 being the bad one.
Mechanic suggested replacing coils 4/5/6 since it is a 3.5 hours job to replace #5. We are talking roughly $900 bill for a vehicle that I plan on selling/trading this year.
Labor - $95/ Hr @ 3.5 hours
Parts (coils) - $140/x3
Spark plugs - $25/x3
My questions, does this quote seem high AND is it really necessary to replace coils 4 and 6. Mechanic is in Bucks County, PA.
Thanks All :-)

Most of that labor is getting to the coils/plugs.....Since he's changing one, Why not change the other two? To give you a idea, Have a look at the easy to get to bank2 (front bank) & how see easy it is to & it doesn't really take that much more time to change out the two additional ones. Keep the two good coils for when the other bank needs them. You could change out the plugs on the other side yourself to save a little labor. IDK if you've search in here, but its always a good idea to swap out the bank 1 coils w/ the plugs. A great selling point is mentioning you changed out the hard to get to coils/plugs. As you know, you'll get more if you sell it yourself........Curios, What are you replacing the rx with?
