Default 2007 rx 350 obd 2 port replacement question.

HI,
I have my 2007 RX 350 OBD 2 port does not work recently. I am trying to use the scanner to identify the car issue when some of the warning light was on. However, I found that the scanner wasn't able to scan my car due to the OBD 2 port not work. So, I am planning to replace the OBD 2 port for my car. Can any give some idea on how to replace the OBD 2 port with the entire cable? or where to find the information about the chart of OBD 2 port? Also, where to buy the right parts to replace OBD 2 port?

Thanks
Ken

Sorry, I can't help with replacing the port, but may I suggest double-checking the scanner you're using, because an odb port failing is a highly unusual failure unless someone really forced a connector in there and bent or pushed in the receptacles Or check the pins in your scanner to see if they are bent -- they must be perfectly straight.

I'd also check your fuses as well.......I ended up replacing a red 7.5 amp fuse to get it working.

This has happened to me a couple of times when my OBDII port stopped communicating.

Before yanking out the DLC3 OBDII plug and harness please try the ideas above and if that doesn't work you can try this:
1) Unhook the battery for 20 minutes and then hook back up.
2) Plug in scanner with keys out of ignition and engne not running and then turn ignition key on to run the scanner.

PS- I use an Icarsoft TYT scanner for quick & basic OBDII scans but for some reason if I plug or unplug the scanner in with the key already on or engine is running it will crash the OBDII sometimes and make it unresponsive and dead. It seems "hot plugging" certain scanners causes this so hoping you get lucky and it's nothing.

Good Luck!
