We have been given a like new 2004 RX300 from my wife's father next door. He just bought a new RX350. We need to stop the garage function/button from opening His garage door next door. Can you tell me how to do that please?

you cannot erase a button that has been programmed into the car, you can only program over it. If you don't have another remote to program over it, then you have to clear all openers from the garage door opener itself and then reprogram the garage door opener with only the remotes you want to work.

Agree with Dennis's post. BUT, you can also reprogram the garage door opener to erase ALL codes. On Genie IntelliLink, there's a 7 device limit and a battery powered keypad counts as one. So...you'd be doing them a favor if you rationalized to ONLY the devices they want. The limit can be exceeded and then the garage door opener starts deleting remotes. I've never figured out it's logic for this and Genie help couldn't. BTDT, NO fun.
Years ago, I actually bought my parents a deadbolt that could be HomeLInk enabled, so there's always the option of doing something like that.
