I live in Knoxville TN and we bought ours in Chattanooga for the same reason. They don't discount them as much here as your numbers you posted, but I didn't have to pay doc fees in Chattanooga, and saved about 1500.00. Plus, they were 100% upfront with me and didn't give me that dealer jerk around that Knoxville was. I was happy with the salesman in Knoxville, but not the sales manager. He lost the sale.

Default Lexus RX330, expectations too high?

We paid sticker for our's but we were willing enough to actually go through the deal(un-deal). If I didn't have a trade-in, I may have gone to http://www.lexusus.com I saw better prices there at the time of our purchase. I really haven't looked around much there other than looking at the vehicle list. It is possible that their process of taking trade-ins may have been worth dealing with them. Has anyone out there purchased from LexusUs.com?
