On my 2007 RX350 there is a small icon on the tach display that indicates something is going on with my tail lights. I checked out this issue and could find nothing wrong with all the rear lights. The icon only shows up when I turn on the lights. Does the icon need to be cleared somehow or do I have some other problem that needs to be addressed? Thanks for any thoughts.
If it’s just a tail light it’ll tell you what to use in the manual. If it’s the actual LED BRAKE lights causing the notification then you will not be able to replace them individually. The full light assembly will have to be replaced unfortunately - so most just keep what they got.
My tail lights even in my 3rd gen go out all the time. I just hit the assembly with my fist while walking by and they come back on. They obviously need to be replaced but this works for now. Luckily my LEDs are still holding strong!
If it is random, then one of your tail lights is loose. Unfortunately to get it corrected, you will have to tear down the latch to access the lights. I have an on and off situation as well. I try the banging method but I know one of these days I just have to get in there. I replaced mine with LEDs and they wiggle and get disconnected.
i also have my lexus rx 350 2008 both tail lights arent turning on bulbs are good any solution?
After tapping one of the taillight housings a couple light went on, after a couple ttimes of doing this, I just bought a commerial pack of #168 bulbs, which I reeplaced all the bulbs, as well as a couple #921 bulbs for the reverse bulbs. No issues for yrs, I also replaced the foglight #9005 bulbs for LED ones too..........
