Thats what I'd do is drop the cradle as it makes it so much easier....Yes physically it'll fit. As far as running the vvti on the exhaust side that the gen2 motor doesn't have, IDK if it'd run off the intake vvti, I'm thinking not. Possibly someone can chime in about that. I'd think that the gen2 heads would bolt on & then you should be golden.....I'd at least clean up the heads by machining then at least if your going that way......Originally Posted by xstevenx97

Yea ill be dropping the cradle first time doing a swap in a lexus motor was ordered should be coming soon but motor looks the same as the 2009 its jjust the vvti that it. other than that the other motor **** the bed oil cooler blew and just seized .(double checked the motor i ordered it does have a oil cooler) so will it plug and play ? and are the motor mounts the same
I'm in process of dropping my sub frame as well, because cylinder 4 has, zero, nadda, zilch compression, sigh.... These links help a lot (below), I'm just pondering whether to unbolt the torque converter now, or after I drop it, because of course, the rear main seal has a small leak.
and (note they vary how they handle axles)
