Car speaker Size's and recommended brand for speakers

DC electrical is my specialty but I know squat about amps and that makes me a noob on audio equipment.
Best sounding system I ever had was in a 1980's rusted out Honda back in the day and I paid $1,200 for the car and the previous owner said his son put a $1,500 stereo and speakers from a popular place named Stereo Garage. I never heard anything sound so crystal clear and beautiful. Only system I ever had I truly enjoyed and was worth more than the car.
That's about my extent of audio equipment knowledge and brands other than my friends were Rockford Phosgate fans. lol
I need to look up how many speakers and subs the car has- I saw amps that had left and right speakers and dedicated sub outputs but I dont know if I need that expense or if I need to match ohms if I have to change the speakers or if the amp adjusts for that.
Planning on keeping stock speakers for now(maybe) and running a my current Kenwood deck, don't laugh plz that's what they had at Bestbuy. lol
Ps- I'd like to be in the $200 range if that's reality but if it's fantasy tell me what I need to drive the stock speakers at a minimum. Current Kenwood radio has I think "25 watt" outputs and I put that in quotes because I highly doubt it.
BTW, stock amp is bypassed for now- I'm running all speakers straight from the Kenwood deck using the car's stock wiring.

Can't begin to recommend 5 channels of amplification at that price, $450+ is more realistic.
