led bulb for daytime running lights

Yes. I replaced mine with these -- -- which I just happened to have available from another car. As high beam lights, they're outstanding, and very close to the color temperature of the original HID low beams right next to them.
However...
They don't light as DRL at all. Since the DRL solution in the 2RX is simply to deliver 6V to the highs instead of 12V, the power is below these particular LEDs' threshold and they don't come on. I suppose if you found some that will take as little as 6V, they'd work as DRL.
I have nearly convinced myself I don't care about this, but it still annoys me.

Update: I see that Amazon now carries these, which purportedly recognize the 6v DRL trigger power...
...but the reviews are mixed (and one is unintelligible).
I think you should get them first and tell me what you think.

I have a 9005 bulb that works for the DRL as well! Just had a pair successfully installed on an 06 RX400h a few weeks ago, actually. I also run them on my 07 IS250, which uses the same DRL method.
