Hey all,
I'm in the process of taking the rear cargo area apart to put a hitch on the RX. I've noticed the two vents on either side of the quarter panels near the rear bumper. The question is, one of the vents, the drivers rear side, has no cover over it. However, the passenger side rear, where it looks like there maybe the same size vent, has a cover over the whole thing.
Are both suppose to be uncovered or ?
Thanks.

I looked at my 07 RX and failed to see any vents. Even though I'm blind in one eye and can't see out of the other, I would think that there should be cover so that all the spray from driving in the rain doesn't go inside the car. A cover would also keep critters such as mice from climbing in and nesting inside the car.

The hitch is on and interior back together. I just left it as is. It looks like a vent, has a two piece flap on it. I'm just not a fan of it being open like it is. I wish it had a cover of sorts. I emailed a Lexus dealer and they said it was normal from the factory on the drivers side only to allow air flow. This is where it is: https://www.mylparts.com/oem-parts/l...nt-629970e030/
