Alternator problem on long drive?
I had replaced my alternator around a year ago when original one failed. Car has been used about once a month since then with no problems. We recently drove around 100 miles then the battery light came on and voltage was at 12 and slowly dropping. Car was towed home and now voltage is around 14v and no issues on some short drives around town. Connections seem good 0 ohms negative to ground, 0.3 ohm alt pos to bat pos. Could alternator be bad again but works fine around town or is there something else I should check?

It probably is the alternator.
According to the service records for my car, the previous owner had to have the alternator replaced 3 times before I bought the car at 97K miles. The battery was replaced 4 times! I probably have to do the battery again because it is cranking on the slow side in the mornings.

Something probably off with the voltage regulator.
I agree with everyone here.
OEM reamans are the way to go as mandifig sugg.
Ironically, i went the aftermarket (Autozone) route and i am on my second replacement in just over a year.
“Lifetime” warrantee.
I got it for ~$70.
I have a 1st gen RX which has more room to work with.
Doesnt hurt to check the battery as well.
