I recently got the rack replaced and the mechanic said to put regular power steering fluid. It was a remanufactured rack and pinion. Should I flush it and replace it with mobil 1 synthetic ATF or would that not be needed. Thank you for this forum and help.

 

My owner's manual (page 574) for RX330 call for automatic transmission fluid Dexron II or III. I would go with Dexron III

 

Dexron III is good. If you can get Toyota T-IV better.

 

Use cheap Dexron III for reservoir suck and fill method every other oil change all these years, now at 230K km steering wheel smooth still feels like new.
