What can you find out about the maintenance. If the car was worked on by Toyota or Lexus, you can get the maintenance history on-line.
Something you can do is get a mechanic to do an inspection on the car, but the only way to know about the timing belt is to see some sort of record of it being done.
The report doesn't show any type of timing belt being replaced.I know at that mileage,a timing belt is due to be changed.
I don't know if I should pass or go for it.I can get a extended warranty on it to put my mind at ease.Looks like 2 owners.
I don't think very much about these extended warranties. The have pretty strict requirements, demanding that you get all manufacturer (i.e., Lexus) recommended maintenance done by a LICENSED repair shop. And that includes oil changes. It does not have to be done by Lexus, but you can't do it, either. Plus they don't take effect on day one, there is a waiting period.
Did you get a price on the warranty? For the combined price of the warranty and car, you can get yourself a nicer/newer/lower mileage car.
My 2 cents worth.
