Headlamp washer missing
I'm not really sure how much of the assembly is missing, and I think it simply fell off while in use on the highway. There are several threads on the forum (including THIS GREAT ONE with assembly PDFs), some speculating theft of the cover, but given that I was using it pretty regularly the night before I noticed its absence I don't think that's likely in my case. So here's what I'm looking at:
...and fluid seems to shoot straight out so I'm guessing the actuator, shown moving in and out in this YouTube video, is also gone.
So I know I need the cover/nozzle, 85382-48010-A0, about $20 on eBay. As for the actuator, I'm seeing them from under $30 to over $300, with part numbers 85208-48011, 85208-48030, and 85208-48070....what's the difference?
Then I stumbled across this, which is for the wrong side, but looks maybe like the whole assembly that I'm missing:
If I could find that for the left side, could I install it without removing the bumper??

Have you tried retracing your drive? (If you didn't go far chances are its on the side of the road )
It looks like it might pop back in.
If not, just take the bumper cover off and pop it back in.

Ah, oh well, it was worth a shot..
I'd keep my eyes open for one of these on CL or Ebay (or possibly a junk yard) ~ one is bound to pop up.
From the pic you posted it looks like you only need the top half of it.
It also looks like you could probably just push it back in.
Good luck!

so all I needed was 8538248010J0, below, but even though it clicks right in, it doesn't stay attached if I pull on it (the other side does). Should I glue it?

Okay, I solved it myself. I found the attached on another ClubLexus thread, and it had me thinking I was also missing a small clip to hold the nozzle in place. After searching unsuccessfully for the clip online, I pulled out the working passenger side nozzle and inspected: no clip at all. I was gonna use needle-nose pliers to pull out the actuator on the other side but I was able to do it with my fingers. Holding it out as far as I could extend it on its spring, I was able to attach the nozzle well enough to hear a click, and now I can pull on the nozzle without it becoming unattached.
Why did the original nozzle fall off in the first place? Just guessing, but maybe it was clogged, and the force of the fluid just blew it right off? Hopefully the $30+ replacement will stay in place.....
