Is it leaking transmission fluid or gear oil? I had a leaking seal in the transfer case, losing gear oil. enough had leaked that the transfer case had to be replaced.

There are two transfer cases ,front and rear, both use transfer not transmission oil,,it can leak and if no more oil left it can lock the mechanism inside,,,,,Check your transfer cases after a long drive so the oil is thin enough to leak,,me took four hours to show few drips on the floor,go under the car and check if any oil is showering at the inside of the wheels or car body,,or take it to a trusty mechanic and tell them to check,,I had a leak on Toyota Highlander that required the seal to be replaced,,but checked my rx and there was none
If you want to replace the oil ,,my mechanic did that
