I recently purchased a 2007 rx350 and it has wood trim inside. Not the biggest fan of it but while looking for black steering wheels I came across a few from the newer 2010+ models. Anyone attempted this swap? Would this be plug and play? I also think the newer wheels are a little thicker which is a bit nicer imo.

 

They are not usually interchangeable.

 

it should work if you can find the black one for 2nd gen....3rd gen is probably do-able but expect some re-wiring work

 

As soon as I find an airbag at a suitable price I'll attempt this. The steering wheels themselves are not bad, but airbags are on the more expensive side atm.
