Default windshield glue?

well, i thought i had it solved: wife's rain sensor came off and so i went to part store and bought rearview mirror glue. didn't last for more than 30 mins. i then went to home depot and bought PL adhesive. This lasted a month but now it is loose again. Does anyone know of a guaranteed fix? What other types have you guys used? thanks
oh , before any one asks: i prepped the glass like i should , gave it a good amount of time to set up and all that.

What kind of PL did you use? When I had my windshield changed on my last car, I asked the guy what type of glue it is and it's just Polyurethane. I think the PL roofing and flashing is polyurethane.

I used 3M automotive trim tape after multiple failures with various adhesives. The tape is half the thickness of the gel pad so good contact is made and this double sided tape STICKS. Been good for 3 yrs.

3M is the best. Check with the manufacturer for the right product and you won't be disappointed.
