Headlights are always on after bulb upgrade.
Ok all first off I love LEd headlights
I bought a set for my Prius and apart from noticeably better gas milage in the winter, I can see signs and the like much further out than before.
So that being said I bought the same brand of lights for my high bulbs in my 2007 rx 350 for my wife.
However, no matter what I do with light options on the stalk (except for the standard on position) the new lights are constantly on. ie. in off, auto, and every other position but standard on.
Another thing to clarify they are in the low beam setting (i can turn them to high but they do not stay only flash them by pulling the stalk back, pushing forward does not change them)
The lights do come with ballasts, Here is a link to what I bought
any insight on this? Is this what the car should be doing? (from what I read in the manual I should be able to actually turn them off.)
Thanks again for your wisdom

The high beam bulbs are used as daytime running lights (in reduced brightness) therefore they are on whenever the car is running except when the low beams are in use. The LEDs probably don't care that the voltage is reduced and therefore are shining bright all the time.
I don't know why they would now stay on with the low beams unless the LEDs are confusing the circuitry.

Thanks for clairifying
You are correct
The lights are on all the time except when I turn on the low beams.
I will test the high beam options (from the low beams) this morning and write back if anything is out of place.
Thanks again for your help

confirmed
I have confirmed that the lights are indeed on low (they are just pretty bright as LED's) and work normally as daytime running lights.
thanks again for your help.

Wanted to get your opinion on the product, are they still working great, and also is the low beam function really bright? I imagine the high beams are crazy bright! Lastly, do you get people flashing their lights at you whenever the DRLs are on. I have been wanting to upgrade my High beams/Low beams, but LED low beams for HIDs cost considerably more money then the high beams.
