How to open trunk lid with no battery?

How to open trunk lid with no battery?

Trying to gain access to a donor car with no battery.
Rear door switch is power only.
Possible take out the switch from the outside? and hardwire to 12 volt battery to power it?

It can be unlatched from the inside. There is a small panel near the latch that needs to be removed to gain access to the latch opening lever. .

The owners manual shows how to do this.
