That laptop you see in my pic is ridiculously helpful, most car softwares run on it for some reason (maybe ECU are more trivial then we think), I also work with BMW software and played around with Honda/Acura and Jaguar/Range Rover software. Cool stuff.
Great to know, will look into it, the Laptop I have was bound for the Electronic Recycle Depot, now I have some use for it...
dedicated only for the Techstream. It is a 15" Dell Model which was built like a tank for office use back in it's glory days.
If the battery charger was red in color, you could mistake it for a brick, it has a carrying handle.
My teenage daughter used it for years, threw everything at it, couldn't believe that Laptop would never die after all that torture.
I had to use 3 paper towels with water to clean the screen when I dug it out of the bottom of a closet, the screen looks sort of like new now.
Don't try that at home, I wouldn't do that with my 27" Monitor for my computer or 1 year old Laptop.

I hear ya, wish I kept my old Panasonic thing that was pretty indestructible, that's what some shops use around me as it's literally made to withstand drops.

Apparently the Dell Laptop I will use was close to the $2,000. range when new, which explains the durability factor.
I paid less than $100. maybe 7 years ago.
Even the original Battery still has a heart beat although is currently on life support.....
once I figure out Techstream, I most likely will need to invest in a inexpensive knock off Battery replacement.

One of my cheap LED's when out on the license plate lights so the trunk came apart this weekend. Decided to try LED's in the running lights. It is definitely monitored by the BECU and needs to be CANBUS LED bulbs unlike the plates and reverse. Looks like I'll order some soon.....

My cheap LEDs seem to holding up well although I should check the ones at the bottom of the door panels, they were a tight fit & receive quite a beating when my wife slams the door.
The DRLs are 50% output of the high beams, I imagine the BECU would be involved for the output.
Most likely the prices have gone down by now, it will be interesting to see what you come up with & the cost.

I don't want to touch my DRL's yet, it's been a nightmare with my Camry. I get 100% output with DRL as I use large capacitors to counter the PWM signal, ended up turning off the DRL on my Camry completely so I can have bright LED high beams, don't care much about the DRL. But it has been a trial/error experiment until what I figured out.

Been looking into the CANBUS bulbs but I'm getting a clunk in the engine bay during acceleration I need to figure out first....

Running lights is what I assumed were DRLs as this is what we refer them to in Canada...
DRLs are required by law here & can't be disabled if the vehicle in question has them factory installed.
Classic cars are exempt but many will put on their headlights instead.

Hey guys, figured I'd chime in. Did the timing belt/water pump on my mom's RX330 about a year ago and it had around 125k miles at the time. The belt's backing was cracking all along the belt. Looked like it was on its last leg. Just saying you might want to do it soon if it hasn't been done in the interval!

Thanks for the input! I've already done it for about 2 months nows. Glad I did, something in that area was ticking which stopped after replacement, I think it was the hydraulic tensioner, but still don't know. Did you use OEM/OE parts?

I believe I used the AISIN timing belt/water pump kit off Amazon Prime.
