What to do with my lexus after incessant leak problems?
Hi folks,
I've posted about my car's leak issues before, but here's a quick recap: per lexus dealership, my ECU unit was damaged due to a water leak. Before this issue, I had gotten the leak mostly fixed by a body shop who specialized in these matters, but they mentioned that there weren't able to get all of it and that it may still be a problem in the future. Well, it was and I paid $1000 to put a new ECU unit in (clear all the codes that sprang up at once, btw) and all was well. Fast forward 8 months or so, I get the same issue (the code check vcu/ check hybrid system goes off and car doesn't start). I'm tired of trying to fix this leak issue and I just want to get rid of the car. My question to you folks: what's your advice of getting rid of the car? I paid a bunch for it and I'd like to get some money out of it, but don't think anyone would want to buy it with this sort of history. Is there a service that hauls your car away and uses its parts and pays decently? I have a 2007 Lexus rx 400h.
Thanks in advance, friends!
