Help - Strange New Noise From Our 2007 RX-350
Our 07 RX350 has 47,000 miles and I just starting to hear (I think from the front) a faint rattling noise while driving. It's hard to describe but it sort of sounds like what you might expect if an empty plastic bottle was slowly bumping around in a plastic box. It is not a metal on metal type of noise. The shocks/struts appears to pass the old bounce test and the car does not seem to display any of the handling issues you get when you have worn shocks/struts as described at the KGB and other shocks/struts web sites and YouTube videos. I also checked the upper engine compartment to see if any plastic shrouds or covers were loose - they weren't.
Any and all thoughts on this would be appreciated!!! Thanks in advance

I bet anything its the brake line plastic cover.
Slide under the drivers side near the mid section of the RX and check for a loose black plastic cover.
Its glued from factory and the weather eats it away and its now loose flapping away. Trim it back and done!
Thats what it looks like. I trimmed it back on ours fixed the noise.

Yup - the cover came unglued at the front. Cut off about 1" and the sound is gone. Looked at area of attachment and didn't see any obvious adhesive left. They should have done a better job affixing it. Thanks again'!
