Default Annoying gas door problem

The fuel filler door on my wife's 05RX doesn't work with the button. When you use the button the door clicks but doesn't open. Someone has to hold it while I hit the switch or I have to hold it and pull the cable in the back. Am I missing a spring or something? Why won't this thing pop open like it's supposed to?

There is a spring that makes the door pop open.
Here is a link to a vendor where you can purchase one.

You can pick the spring up at your local Lexus or Toyota dealer for a few dollars. To me, it wasn't worth the wait and shipping cost. There's even several youtube videos on how to DIY, simple.

Can't find anything related to that. Do you have a link?

I forgot to mention that I searched under Toyota. With Lexus, many things can be found under Toyota if not under a Lexus search. Thanks NY.

Thanks this post helped me as well
I bought the spring at the dealer for 3.85 but I found some dealers selling it for up to $8.50.

To open it initially have someone push the button and use a credit card to pry it open.
