My wife and I do plan on trading in her 335i for a Rubicon... But meanwhile I was hoping someone could help quicken my research on what I desire for my RX if available.

I like the Gobi racks and ladder concept very much. I know Gobi only makes the set for the LX. Do any RX owners have an idea or experience with a rack and/or ladder for the second gen RX?

While on the topic of these style mods, any suggestions on sidesteps, tow hitch and front bull bars? (Yes my RX has the tow package, just no tow hitch)

As you can see, very few people take the RX offroad.

 

I've seen quite a few front and rear bumper bars on RXs in NYC. Not my style, but they're out there. Yesterday I saw an MDX with a Yakima basket on the roof with led light bards on the front and back, looked pretty cool. I find the RX is short enough that I can get stuff on the roof rack without needing a ladder.
