I wonder if this is one of those situations where we hear of the bad ones but there are more out there with no problems. my car has one tiny crack that I stopped with super glue three years ago and its been in the Texas sun since September of '04.

If I can get this poll thingy to work please share your experience.

 

I live in Nebraska, dash cracks are rare here. Not a single one of my vehicles, nor anyone I know have had any dash cracks.

 

Yes, my dash cracking, among other cosmetic problems, were the reason for letting go of my RX.

 

None at this point....knock on wood . Cars from Missouri and Kansas all of its life

 

Bought my RX used 18 months ago. It was sold in Miami originally, but had been in NC for several years.
Always garaged. About three weeks ago, two cracks appeared just above the glove box.. Today it looks like a road map =/ Very disappointed.

UPDATE: Here we are in September and my dash now has too many cracks to count. Pieces have begun to fall off randomly. Neither Lexus Corporation nor the dealership is willing to do anything.
Expected more from Lexus.

 

My 04 has developed a small crack above the airvent on the drivers side. Car has always been garaged, both at home & work. Top of dash has also begun to feel oily. This has just started in the past year.

 

Is the RX dash covered with leather or is it pleather/vinyl? It looks like vinyl to me.

 

Black dash in FL here. I park in garages both at work and home so no cracks yet. Driving down the road on a sunny day, the dash gets so hot I can't leave my hand on it for more than a few seconds.

 

2007 RX350 with black dash, bought and raised in VA. I'm the second owner and shes looking good as new! Windshield Shade every day and Aerospace 303 wipedown weekly.

 

I am the third owner and notice a tiny crack in the center about 1" long
