Did they say "timing belt" or did they just say "belt?" Wondering if it was an accessory belt. Even those who waited until 120K miles to replace the timing belt have reported it looked in good shape. A timing belt would have been an expensive repair and they might have talked to you about replacing the water pump at the same time. As stated above, a timing belt which breaks can cause some serious engine damage on the RX.

Yes it was the timing belt....I was lucky! Maybe because it shredded and it just didn't break....IDK just glad that was all!
