Default Maintenance reqd light.

My RX 350 just hit 105k and the maintenance reqd light came on, anyone know if this is routine ? Thanks

This indicator comes on every 5K miles to indicate the need for an oil change. Is normally reset by the tech, however, if forgotten about you can easily do it yourself. This is all discussed in your Owner's Manual or if you want to search for it here on CL it has been mentioned on a number of occasions.

Yes every 5K

Reset procedure: Make sure the odometer is set to total miles not trip. With the key in the off position, push in and hold the odometer button (ODO). Turn the key to the on position without starting the car. Continue to hold in the odometer reset button until the maintenance required light goes off (about 20 seconds).
