Default Where do you buy your?

Plugs & Coils or just parts in general?
I just picked up my 06 RX Friday 12/20/13
Love it - It's white pearl on ivory with Nav 92k.
I'm 68 and drive less then 6k mi a year so this
should last a while. i didn't know that 06 RX came
out of the box with crude oil. Will using synthetic
oil be a good or bad thing to do? I've always used Castrol
Edge full synthetic in the past - Thank You Kenny

Sewell for parts and I get my oils and filters straight from Toyota up here. I've always read it's not a good idea to put synthetic in an older engine that has used regular oil it's whole life as it will start to leak. I had this happen on a 98 GTI VR6 I had, but it could also have been vw's terrible quality as well. So do it at your own risk

Switching to synthetic at this point is not a problem. Would start with a 5W30.

Parts can be obtained from a variety of sources depending on your needs and abilities. For example:
  • Wiper Blades, ignition coils, etc. - local Toyota dealership (just tell them the size blades you want). The V6 is the same as a Highlander V6
  • Filters - Amazon.com for third-party (such as WIX) or Sewell for OEM (order a couple to make the shipping worthwhile)
  • RockAuto.com, Advance Auto Parts, AutoZone, NAPA,... - for various item needs. Advance Auto has online discount codes and NAPA gives AAA members a discount, for example.
The rear coils and plugs are a pain to get at, so be sure to check the DIY sticky for information on how to perform that work.

I've had the best luck with Amazon for normal parts.

The timing belt should have been changed at 90k. Do you know if it was? The plug change is not required until 120k miles. Register your vehicle with Lexus, the complete Lexus service history will be there.
