Do 2011 rims work on 2007 rx350?
Will wheels from an 2011 RX350 work on a 2007 model? Here's what I see on the inside of the 2011 wheel: 18x7 1/2 J 35, on the 2007 it says 18x7 JJ 35.
I guess the wheel is 1/2 inch wider but what do the J's mean? and why is there only one for the 2011. Are these wheels inter-changeable?
Thanks

Some possible contour designations are J, JJ, K, JK, B, P, and D
Common (and generally interchangeable) wheel contour designations are J, JJ, and JK.
J is the most common type for most automotive rims
JJ is common on 4x4 vehicles
Basically the rim contour and bead profile specify the shapes of the rim flange and the bead area.
You generally want to stick with something the same or close to what you have.
I have 19" oem rims from 2012 RX installed on my 2008. With tires that are 255/45.
A little too heavy. Much heavier than original 5 spoke 18" but car feels more planted. MPG is worse by 2-4 mpg.
