Good morning everyone, can someone tells me what is going on with my 05 rx330. everytime i release my brake there is a short thump sound, it has 93k. i know its not coming from the brake pads.

 

I'm wondering if your rotors are warped? When was the last time they were changed?

 

You will also feel vibration on the foot when pressing brake if the rotors are warped.

 

just got back from the dealer, they will first replace my check valve on my brake, if that does'nt fix the noise they said it might be the break booster,

is brake booster same as the master cylinder that is mention on the link you attached? cause what they replace is my master cylinder cup kit? thanks

 

they checked my pads and rotors, they said its fine.to replace the valve its $116.00 hopefully that will fix the problem, cause the booster brake is $800.00 parts only, yak. thanks

 

got the call from the dealer, they first replace the check valve that did not fix the problem, next, they replace the brake booster that did not fix the problem either, so now they are saying its the ABS actuator. they are waiting for LEXUS response if they can cover the repair cost. cause its not typical for the actuator to go bad, hopefully LEXUS cover the cost, its around $2500, Parts($2200).
