I was also considering these for my Rx but for the door.
I looked at them on eBay, they are called ghost shadow lights, also there are different generations of these lights as well. It seems like the later generations of these lights are smaller, sharper and more colorful.
I would of love to do this as the puddle light but the housing I think is too big to fit behind the mirror. I have a set saved in my wish list on eBay, maybe when the weather picks up I may decide to do it.

Definitely take pictures. Where do you plan to install them? Even with the 4th gen, I still think it may be too big to put them in the mirrors. If I do decide to do it, I may do the door just like in the illustration. But I'll let you be the Guinea Pig this time. lol. There are install videos and samples of what they look like on youtube.
