Yeah, that is the problem I want a wheel that looks clean without being overwhelming
Not sure if you've seen this RX or not, the owner installed (5 spoke) TSW Vortex 20x8.5 +20 offset with 255/45/20 tires. TSW also makes these in "hyper silver".
They look like bigger stock wheels and the photos show that they are flush with the front fender.

I did see those this morning...looks clean and stockish! I was watching a set of venza rims on ebay and they got up to 2100....yeah no thanks I can go aftermarket cheaper than that.
Here's a newer RX on 20x8.5" CV3's all around. Can't go wrong with a clean, simple 5 spoke! I know it's not a 2nd gen, but it will at least give you an idea!

Ok so I found a super clean set of OEM FX35 20s that look like this one
$450 for the set I think its a no brainer! What do you guys think?
Also, anyone using them already, is weight going to be an issue? I assume they're heavier than the stock 18s?
WHich size do you recomend? After playing with the Discount Tire size calculator, I concluded that 245/45/20 is the closest size to stock 18s without messing the speedometer too much.

That's a good price, but I prefer custom wheels, like the ones Vossen Wheels posted, over stock ones. You'd be hard pressed to notice those were any different from stockers on a casual glance. They do look clean and some people prefer the look of a more conservatively styled wheel.
Weight will be heavier with a larger wheel, but you'll probably see a difference of 1-2 mpg and .2 in 0-60. Not a huge deal.

I am also looking at putting 20" wheels on my RX400h. 22" wheels will fit, but I think they look too big for a vehicle that is based on a Camry.
I've been shopping for wheels for quite some time and so far, I like these 2 the best (Lexani R6 and XO Miami)
My future plans also include Eibach springs. I'm glad I read this post, as I had no idea that the suspension will need to settle after the springs are installed.
I like those Lexani's, in fact the Chrome R-Six was on my potential list. I do think two tone wheels look better with a chrome/silver lip, like those VVS-CV3s, rather than blacked out. Sources to browse are CarID, Discount Tire, and Tire Rack.
One of the things that attracts me to the machined face/black lip look is that I think it gives the illusion that the wheels are larger, as there isn't a defined "border" that shows where the lip ends and the tires start.
Either way, we all have one thing in common when it comes to wheels: making our vehicles look just a little different than the swarms of other RXs on the road. I swear, whenever my wife and I go to Costco, I really have to pay attention to where we parked, as there's going to be no less than 10 2nd Gen RXs in the parking lot!

There's no doubt that $450 price is really good. What's the offset?

I get the appeal of that style though. Some designs really pull it off. And it looks good with certain color combinations.
I found two similar looking Range Rovers with two of the R-Six styles.

Funny, I've had most of those photos saved on my iphone for a few months now! My RX is silver, so I like the way the wheels look with the silver BMW coupe
